In his tenured career as a civil trial attorney, he has tried cases to judges and juries in a variety of practice areas, including personal injury, employment discrimination, civil rights, and consumer protection. Kyle has attained a high degree of peer recognition and personal achievement, including being recognized as a Rising Star by Super Lawyers and being selected to the “Top 40 Under 40” of personal injury attorneys by the National Trial Lawyers. Kyle is an active member of the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association and the Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys. Kyle’s connection to the interpreting community stems from his professional experience of working with spoken language interpreters and through his wife, Amanda, an experienced ASL interpreter.

 Interpreting Skilled Trades Workshop by KAI-RID

Does the idea of interpreting auto mechanics make you break out in a cold sweat? Don’t know a philips head screwdriver from a spatula? Wonder what all those colorful wires mean? Come learn from skilled Deaf tradesmen at this informal, interactive workshop. No experience necessary, just a willingness to learn!

 KAI-RID presents Interpreting Skilled Trades Workshop, Saturday, June 29th, 2019, 10:00am-12:00pm at the Lawrence Public Library, 707 Vermont, Lawrence, KS. Stay for lunch (included) followed by the KAI-RID Annual Business meeting from 1:00-3:00pm. Workshop worth 0.2 CEUs Professional Studies sponsored by Interpretek. $15 for KAI-RID members, $25 for non-members. The language of this workshop and business meeting will be in ASL.
