KCDHH is hosting a BIPOC discussion session on Thursday, May 20, 2021 at 7 PM via Zoom. Please share with anyone who might be interested in participating this discussion session. If you are interested to participate, please email Robert.cooper@ks.gov to receive your Zoom meeting link.
BIPOC is short for Black, Indigenous and People of Color and the discussion will focus on those who are Deaf and Hard of Hearing. This discussion session is part of KCDHH Commission’s priorities to address the underserved community members in parallel with Governor Laura Kelly’s Commission on Racial Equity and Justice (CREJ), which requested KCDHH to host a first discussion panel in September 2020, as well as the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives are being conducted among state agencies. A summary will be shared on these activities and the session should run for about an hour or so. A KCDHH Commission member and KCDHH interns are assisting with facilitating this discussion session which hopefully will become a series.
Discussion is open to the public and announced on Public Square as per KOMA rules. Thank you for your interest and help with sharing about this effort.
