Committee members present included Kimberly Heintz, Jenni Mosiman, Kim Enos, Spencer Rizzi, Marisa Hurd, Teri Sturgeon, Jake Marshall, Jennifer Mason, Amanda Wittman, Allison Gile, and Robin Olson. Kim Anderson, Wendy McGregor and Lorrie Shank came to represent KAD and provide valuable insight and perspective to our work.
Three sub-committees were formed to research and develop proposals to be presented to the KAI RID membership for review by November 30, 2019. The restructuring vote is slated to be completed by January 31, 2020. Sub-committees are tasked with exploring the following options:
● KAI-RID disaffiliate with RID and affiliate with KAD
● KAI-RID maintain affiliation with RID and affiliate with KAD
● KAI-RID dissolve the organization and reform as an independent state-level professional entity
The work has begun! Stay tuned for more information in the coming month. As always, please share your thoughts, hopes, vision for KAI-RID. “Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.” Helen Keller
